Update 10/12/22

Hi everyone! As I mentioned in the previous update, I wanted to do a 3-pronged approach. However I decided to narrow it down to one so I can focus the last of the financial resources on helping provide for 100 families (hopefully more depending on prices). As you’ll see in the video I put together below, this device will help during times of power outage, not just during typhoon season, but for whenever there are blackouts (or as they call them in the Philippines, “brown outs”). The major problem for the locals when they don’t have electricity, especially since many have access a generator, is that they still need light at nighttime and to have access to charging their devices. This device has a lantern, flashlight, and USB port for charging, and in order to charge it, it can either be plugged in via mini-USB, solar charged, or hand-cranked when it’s dark out. I’ll be ordering these soon and sending them to my parents for distribution. Hopefully these will be out in time for Christmas.
